July 24


Psalm 32:8
I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.

Terry had been a savior. It was so nice to find someone who had gone through a long, hard diet before. God had really brought them together. At the time Lisa needed someone most, Terry had miraculously showed up. Lisa wondered whether Terry wasn't an angel in disguise. She had been such a great help. God often answers our prayers through the people He sends into our lives at key times. It is good to seek out the support of others who can relate to what we're going through. Pray that God will lead you to such people, so they might accompany you through the tough times.

Today's Thought:  Help me remember that I'm not alone!

Today's Tip:  Watermelon. This delicious summertime treat is low in calories (80 calories for 2 generous cups); high in potassium; low in sodium; high in vitamins A and C; and has small amounts of calcium, iron, and fiber. The red varieties of watermelon also contain lycopene, the antioxidant also found in tomatoes that has been shown to
reduce the incidence of certain types of cancer.

Low-Fat Rocky Road Brownies - 3 pts

4                    egg whites
1/2  cup           sugar
1      tbsp          vanilla
1/2  cup           cocoa powder -- sifted
1/2  tsp           baking powder
1/4  tsp           salt
1/2  cup           flour
1      cup           marshmallow cream

Preheat oven to 325ยบ. Prepare a 9x13 pan with cooking spray and flour. In a mixing bowl, combine baking powder, cocoa/carob powder, salt and flour. In another mixing bowl, combine egg whites, sugar, vanilla, and marshmallow cream. Mix dry ingredients with wet ingredients. Bake for 18 mins.
