August 21


If you keep yourself pure, you will be a special utensil for honorable use. Your life will be clean, and you will be ready for the Master to use you for every good work.

Gary couldn't believe what he was hearing!  He hadn't been selected for the mission because he was just a few pounds overweight.  Harrison was trimmer, but that didn't mean he was any better as a pilot.  How could they turn him down because of a few pounds? Often, being fit is determined by how trim and slim we are.  It may not be fair, but it shows the value that is put on keeping in shape.  God wants us to be in shape, so we can enjoy this life we have been given to the fullest.  He intends that we should always be ready to experience all that life has to offer.  We can only do that when we take proper care of ourselves.

Quick and Easy Blender Salsa

• 2 - 14.5 ounce cans diced tomatoes
• 1 1/2 - 10 ounce cans diced tomatoes with green chili peppers
• 2 tablespoons lemon juice
• 1 fresh jalapeno pepper, chopped
• 1/3 cup chopped fresh cilantro
• 1/2 large sweet onion, chopped
• 3 drops hot pepper sauce
• 1 clove garlic, minced

In a blender, place diced tomatoes, diced tomatoes with green chili peppers, lemon juice, jalapeno pepper, cilantro, yellow onion, hot pepper sauce and garlic. Blend until smooth. Chill in the refrigerator until serving.

Or if you like it chunky, mix together and chill.
